Join the crew

We are a small permanent crew doing serious marine work at Marsden Cove, and we are always keen to hear from good people. Factory trained, properly equipped, and honest about how we run: the work gets done right, the banter is free, and the whole workshop starts early so everyone gets home an hour before the rest of the industry. People join here and stay, which tells you most of what you need to know.

The person matters more than the papers

Marine technicians, diesel and automotive techs looking to cross over, marine electricians, apprentices starting out. The trade background can vary because the training is part of the deal. What we cannot teach is the person, so this is who fits here:

  • Reliable. The crew and the customers can set their watch by you.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn. Factory training camps, new systems, new methods. If learning excites you, this place will suit you.
  • Able to work alone. On a boat, at a berth, on the hardstand. You own the job in front of you.
  • Trustworthy. Customers hand us their boats and their keys. That trust is the business.
  • A genuine problem solver. Half this trade is diagnosis. The best people here enjoy the puzzle.
  • Free to travel for training. OEM courses mean time away now and then. We treat it as the perk it is.

What you get back

A permanent role, factory training and certification with Mercury, Volvo Penta, Simrad and Mastervolt, a properly equipped workshop with its own engine build room, the marina at the front door, and that early finish every single day. High standards on the boat, plenty of laughs off it.

No vacancy listed does not mean no interest. Good people make their own vacancy. Tell us who you are and attach a CV if you have one.

Talk to us before the work starts. We would rather explain a clause than argue about it later.
